private professional development
I started learning about NGSS in 2013 and have spent a significant amount of energy the past two years figuring out what the standards are about and attending some not-very-helpful professional development. My response was to create the professional development I wanted and begin presenting it to other teachers. I have done presentations at Stanford with the Industry Initiatives for Science and Math Educators, in San Diego at the Parters in Science conference, at regional AAPT conferences, and at free workshops hosted at my school for anyone who is interested. I have also met with many teachers from across the country in person, on the phone, and via the internet. If you would like personalized help with NGSS, please contact me. We can organize a time to get together in person, via phone, through email, on chat, or with skype/hangouts. I'm happy to help in any way I can.
